Citronella Essential Oil is steam distilled from the fresh leaves and stems of Cymbopogon nardus, a lemongrass plant native to Sri Lanka and Indonesia. It encapsulates the vigorous, grassy-green aroma of the C. nardus herb. Citronella oil is dominated by monoterpenes like geraniol, citronellol, and citronellal which provide its characteristic scent. The oil has been used for centuries in Indonesia's traditional Jamu herbal remedies. Today, citronella oil is commonly utilized for its cleansing, purifying aroma.

AROMA PROFILE OF CITRONELLA ESSENTIAL OIL

Citronella Essential Oil has a strong, fresh aroma characterized as grassy-lemony with hints of citrus. The top notes are described as revitalizing and uplifting with an camphoraceous undertone. The rich fragrance is reminiscent of the C. nardus plant. The scent is long-lasting and powerful.

APPEARANCE OF CITRONELLA ESSENTIAL OIL

The essential oil has a mobile viscosity and light yellow to dark amber color depending on botanical variety and harvest season. It is slightly hazy in appearance with a rich texture that coats surfaces well. The oil may solidify at temperatures below 25°C.
